Hello Everyone!
Happy Week 2! We hope your week is going well and want to set a few reminders for everyone.
1. A Night of Freedom (October 15th, 7 pm PDT THURSDAY) - Please join us in A Night of Freedom, an online gala held by LiNK headquarters, where 3 NK defectors will be sharing their story of escaping from NK and settling in SK. 2. Family Program (apps due October 14, 11:59 PM - TOMORROW) - Are you interested in a support system? Please sign up for our family program! You will be matched with an E-Board family head and other general members based on your major and interests. There will be a reward system, where families earn points for fulfilling various activities throughout the year. 3. LiNK T-Shirts - Our UCLA LiNK t-shirts designed by our beautiful graphic designer from last year, Anjali Sankar. T-shirts are now on sale for $20 (pickup in Westwood) or $25 (+shipping). 4. Fundraising - We've raised $2,197.05 so far!!!! It's only week 2 and we've already raised 2/3 of our goal. THANK YOU to everyone who has been fundraising so far. 5. GM (General Meetings) ⭐️ - Just a reminder that our GM's are held every odd week Monday from 6:30-7:30 PM! Stop by and come meet our team!
Last I'd like to clarify some confusion:
We currently have a public Facebook page "Liberty in North Korea at UCLA" (https://www.facebook.com/linkucla/) and a private active Facebook group "LiNK x UCLA 2020-21" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/188654928693728/).
The public FB page is used to post official announcements, events, promotions that we want to make to the public. However, if you want to be actively a part of our club and be more in the loop with how you can be involved please like our public page AND request to join our private active group so that we can give you information throughout the year.
We appreciate the amount of love and interest everyone has shown in the past few weeks, we can't wait to see what other amazing things we'll accomplish with you on our team <3 If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach to us via any of our social media platforms or through our email at uclalink@gmail.com.
